Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
